Referencing

A bibliography or list of references is an alphabetical listing of all sources (printed and electronic) from which information has been taken either directly (by literal quotation) or indirectly (by paraphrase).  You must acknowledge all sources used to obtain information by indicating the original author(s) as well as the specific location of the facts, arguments and quotations.  A bibliography comes at the end of an essay or assignment and lists all the works that were cited or consulted in the process of researching and writing the document. Items are arranged either in alphabetical order by the author's last name or according to the order in which the various references appear in the document. A bibliography should contain sufficient information for anyone reading the bibliography to be able to track down all the items listed. Different reference styles require different bibliography formats, but typically information such as author name, title, publisher, place of publication and date of publication is always included.

For Assignment 3 you are required to format your references in the APA style.
The Student Learning Centre's Quickcite will provide explanations and examples of how to do this. Select your reference style as APA, and then select your reference details.
